Pompeii is an ancient Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 A.D. You will have about 2 hours to explore the excavations of the ruins. The site is open to the public between the hours of 09:00 and 6:00 every day of the week. Guides can be hired at the entrance and audioguides can be rented.
At the end of a winding, one-way road, we will arrive at the cosmopolitan resort town of Positano. From the bustling, central Piazza dei Mulini you will descend the narrow, pedestrian-only walkways to Positano's famous waterfront. Here you will find the cathedral, shops selling local ceramics and lemons, upscale shoes and clothing, swimwear, original works of art, and souvenirs of every sort.
In the town of Sorrento, perched at the end of the Sorrentine peninsula, you will enjoy spectacular views of the entire bay of Naples and the Island of Capri. Sorrento is known for its fantastic shopping, pretty terraces where you can kick back and sip a coffee or sparkly beverage, and amazing lookout points.
